SO i*ve been a busy little bumble since B has arrived...cuz now i have a partner to go places with while djs at work all the time! This is us at Bubbles fixing the BEAUTIFUL mess Brooke and I created on her head trying to go from brown to blond using box color..
(i WARNED her i didn*t have high hopes for it!!) But here she is..in hair ER. Dj says she looks like Sonic the Hedgehog....i say maybe sonic*s sister.
Either way...after a nerve racking 4 hours...Brooke emerged radiant and with a PERFECT cut and corrective color :) {i also was very pleased with my highlight touch up}
After our appointments were finished we poked our glistening fresh heads into the next shop over: "Wylie Waggs",
{an ADORABLE pet pampering palace} to find Rambo a b~day gift and gift bags for his guests...
This store was out of its mind. It had EVERY toy/ treat/food/ accessory/herbal medicine /outfit EVER created for a cat or dog.
I mean...take a gander at some of this stuff! I*m pretty sure MOST humans don*t even eat this well!! Pet SMOOTHIES?! REALLY??
It was SO hard to choose between all the goodies but we came away with some glorious finds...
...and the b~day boy had a great day :]
LAST weekend i made the long haul back to NY and CT once again to visit Grandpa at his new place...and to visit the old red house to help pack up some stuff for him and tidy up a little. It was UNEXPLAINABLY GOOD to get to see him in person after so long...
..and SO good to sleep in my old CT bedroom again with my 2 lovemunchkins :*) {I*m lucky my heart didn*t burst with happiness.}Getting to catch up with my cousins...and really getting to talk to them in person meant the world to me.
...Playing pool and eating lunch and dinner with my Grandfather was SO bittersweet. Driving my car in the opposite direction back to Virginia felt like salt all over my torn up heart.
LUCKILY...coming back to VA is now a little easier knowing im coming back to a house FILLED with terrific people.Here is Brooke...at an organic diner pit-stop in the midst of our recent adventure to check out the North Springfield area. {B actually reminded me that we only have about 4 months left on our lease in our current house & since the boys are both going to be working near mount vernon...we might as well move a tad further south to help them with the commute.} I*m not exactly sure how i feel about this move that will bring me even FURTHER away from my family...and it is also not as close to all the great shops and locations we are right next door to now (including my job)...but the PLUS side is that the houses around N. Springfield are a lot bigger for less money.
Here is extra proof of how perfect and handy little lady B is to have around! I highly recommend getting one for YOUR house. Cutting coupons...how cute is that?! LOVE IT. (B*s are also a great help in the car when you*re trying to find places and your GPS is throwing tantrums.)
HERE we are in the not yet green woods of GlennCarolyn dog park next to our house....it is Rambo*s FAVORITE and Roxy REALLY loved it as well!! That AM we got B a free 7 day pass to XSPoRT....so we have attended Zumba, BodyFlow and BodyCombat already since..{NEWS BREAK UPDATE:actually today after Zumba B actually decided she liked the place so much that she signed up and now we BOTH have memberships at a discounted rate!!}
Brooke has ALSO been really supporting me in my return to healthy eating...we have honestly blown ourselves away with the meals we have been turnig out! Nutritious and delicious!! We have been so proud!
(Not to worry...i have ALSO started taking Mow out in our back yard for play time outside... she just LOVESSSS it and it makes me so happy to see her being able to enjoy outside...{for her AND her sister}...and she doesn*t even know shes on a "leash" bc i made it sooo light and long:)
What else? Gosh..ok...here*s a pic from one of our sundays...we started out bringing Brooke and Glenn to Einstein Bagels with us cuz thats Dj and my Sunday tradition
...then we went here, VA fire arms company...this is what Brooke and i did while the boys looked at guns....yes this is a gun bag of some sort?? brooke was like...GOOOD...YOU LOOK LIKE AN OLSON TWIN.
Dj*S most important news and biggest thrill this past week was this....getting the coveted golden burrito at Chipotle.There is SOO much more to post about but i have no time so i want to just get this one posted for now!! More to come soon!! <3
